TOGETHERNESS SUPREME is the story of Kamau, an artist, Otieno, a hustler, and Alice, a preacher’s daughter, whom both Kamau and Otieno fall in love with. All three live in Kibera, east Africa’s largest slum, home to a million people in Nairobi, Kenya. All three are from different tribes but are searching for tribal unity. During the 2007 Kenya presidential elections their community is torn apart by violence and conflicting tribal loyalties. Their story, set against a backdrop of tyranny, is a beacon of hope in an unjust world.
TOGETHERNESS SUPREME is the story of Kamau, Otieno and Alice, but it is also the story of Kibera – a story about the challenges of poverty, unemployment, crime and lack of basic human rights. It is a story that will help audiences worldwide to understand the people of Kibera and raise awareness on a global scale of the challenges and triumphs of life in an African slum.
TOGETHERNESS SUPREME is a story about the strength of the human spirit that persists in the face of overwhelming odds.
What makes TOGETHERNESS SUPREME a unique project is that it has been developed in collaboration with the youth of Kibera over the last three years.
