We
are EXPOSING, TRAINING, PRODUCING...
Exposing: youth, children, and adults to new ideas through community film screenings and large open-air screenings to crowds of hundreds in the slums. Our annual Hip Hop Film Festival in Kibera is a forum for screenings, discussion, and debate.

Training:
We are identifying new talents at film screenings and projects, including the Kibera Kid Street Theatre and Stories from Kibera. In August 2009 we started the innovative, hands-on, first ever KIBERA FILM SCHOOL, where trainees learn all aspects of filmmaking from script, acting, casting, camera, production, editing, and distribution. Professionals from the Kenyan film and TV industry work as instructors in the KIBERA FILM SCHOOL.

Producing: Helping slum youth produce short films of their stories, fictional and documentary. We are producing a global first, a feature film produced in collaboration with slum residents - the TOGETHERNESS SUPREME feature film project. Trainees at the KIBERA FILM SCHOOL are producing their own short films, including stories of life in Kibera and public service announcements. KIBERA FILM SCHOOL trainees are available to work with community groups, local businesses and religious organizations to produce videos about their work.
