Chris
aka Jah Hill
Hi, I'm Chris aka Jah Hill, poet, musician
and actor. Hot Sun Foundation is coming out with the real
picture of the ghetto positively, that is uncovering talent
to prove and save youth from drug abuse, crimes and violence
to live in a better place. For a long time people have believed
that nothing good came from the ghetto but I say the ghetto
is a college in every city, a place to get education and teach
others. HSF has helped me work to save our own community.
Great things are happening in slums. We live to uplift our
minds. I say welcome to the highest.

Ignatius Juma, aka the Kibera Kid(Success story)
Q. How did you become a starof the award-winning short film;
Kibera kid?
A. The film director; (Nathan Collett)
saw me playing football (soccer) in Kibera. A few days later
Nathan visited me at Little Prince School. He told us that
we were going to act in a short film. Being an actor in Kibera
KID was a gift from God.
Q. What are your current dreams?
A. First of all my dream is to become an
international actor. I feel that I have the potential. Secondly,
I would like to be a lawyer, mainly because I want to fight
for the rights of the people whether poor or rich. After working
as a lawyer I would like to be the president of Kenya to really
like serve the citizens of Kenya equally with no discrimination. |
