Hot Sun Films Team

Nathan Collett HSF Founder

Writer/Director

Nathan grew up overseas: in Venezuela, United States, Australia, Pakistan and Kenya. He now makes his home in Nairobi, Kenya. As a young adult, his time in Kenya inspired Nathan to study African History at Stanford University, California. Nathan's honors thesis at Stanford was a research paper and a documentary on the revival of traditional religion in Kenya. Which inspired him to start Hot Sun Films. He further honed his filmmaking abilities at the prestigious film school at the University of Southern California (USC). Nathan has directed, shot and edited numerous films and videos for corporate clients and has made several award winning fictional short films including KIBERA KID. Currently Nathan is developing a feature length based on KIBERA KID. Through filmmaking and cultural exchanges, Nathan hopes to change the world's impression of Africa and make it a better place for those on the lowest rung of society. He wants to inspire and create change for Kibera and the Urban slums of Africa.

Goddfrey Ojiambo.

Godfrey "Goddy" Ojiambo Writer/Actor/Kibera Producer

Goddy is a well-known Kenyan stage actor. Now he is focusing more on film. He appeared in KIBERA KID and is an instrumental creative force in Hot Sun Films. He was an assistant director on the film CHARCOAL TRAFFIC and worked on SUBIRA and TRAIN MENACE. Goddy is also a lifelong resident of Kibera, Africa's largest slum, where he lives to this day with his wife and young daughter. Goddy's dream is to make a better life for himself and his family through hard work and dedication. Goddy is the crucial link between the rest of the team and the people in Kibera. Currently Goddy is working with the rest of the team to develop the feature length movie and Hot Sun Foundation. He wants to change the world, starting with his family and then Kibera and then...watch out!
